I work with every student personally to build a plan around who they are — not a generic syllabus. KS2 through university, in person or online.
Every session is with me directly — no marketplace, no matching process. Here's what I teach and how to book.
Founder and tutor at Bluum Institute. I started tutoring through MyTutor, and my path into teaching began earlier still — teaching English during a university exchange year in Japan, where I first found how much I loved helping something click for someone. Alongside teaching, I spent 3+ years as a Senior Business Analyst in banking, which shapes how I approach tutoring too — structured, outcome-focused, genuinely tracking whether something's working. I now work 1:1 with every student myself, across Maths, English, Economics, Law, and 11+ entrance prep.
I don't teach to a syllabus in the abstract — every tutoring plan starts with the student in front of me.
Every tutoring programme begins with a real assessment of strengths, gaps, and goals — not a one-size-fits-all curriculum.
We track progress session by session, so families always know what's improving and what needs more attention.
I've sat where your child is sitting — in classrooms, in exams, working through these same subjects, including teaching abroad in Japan.
Personalised 1:1 and small-group sessions across core subjects, exam boards, and levels — in person or online.
Every session is planned around the student, with progress notes shared after each meeting.
England & Wales: AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC Eduqas
Scotland: SQA — National 5, Higher, and Advanced Higher

A student's tutoring journey with me moves through four stages, each building on the last.
An initial consultation to map strengths, gaps, and goals.
I'll set out what we'll focus on and book in your first session.
Regular sessions with notes and check-ins along the way.
Grades, offers, or confidence — measured against what we set out to do.
Imy is incredible. She went through each question step by step and made sure I understood the reasoning and the model rather than just memorising answers, then applied it to real-world examples. I have absolutely no regrets in choosing Imy as a tutor.— Student
Iman is knowledgeable, patient, and listens to the student, carefully and accurately responding to their needs. She's also flexible and understanding, which has been so helpful given our schedule. I highly and wholeheartedly recommend Iman.— Parent
Iman was extremely attentive during the lessons, making sure she went through all the theory behind the learning — ensuring I really understood what I was doing, not just how to answer the question.— Student
Overall, a great tutor, helped me to push myself to grade 9 potential. Very easy to work with and good at explaining.— Student
Iman is a terrific maths tutor. My son has had a couple of weekly lessons so far and Iman has helped with reviewing key concepts for his exams, walking at his pace while challenging him. She's extremely flexible and understanding — I highly recommend her.— Parent
Imy has been amazing with my stepdaughter, who we found out far too late has dyscalculia and dyslexia. We can see her confidence and ability improving — she's now able to explain concepts rather than just copy words with no understanding. Imy has been a great communicator throughout.— Parent

I'm designing a small set of resources based on what students and parents ask me for most — not generic templates, but tools built around real exam technique and how I actually run sessions.
